A clothes shop dedicated to serving tall women in Bath is set to close.
Long Tall Sally, on Broad Street, will be closing its doors permanently on August 3 after suffering from tough trading conditions.
The chain has suffered falling sales all across the country and will be closing nearly all its shops across the UK, leaving only the flagship store in London and one in Birmingham, within House of Fraser, left open.
Store Manager for the Bath shop, Tiffancy Langer-Hawke said: “Unfortunately our stores just aren’t profitable anymore. "We do really well online and customers can continue to buy Long Tall Sally clothing on our website.
"The Bath shop isn't shutting until August though and we will have all the current range of clothes right up until closing." The store in Bath employs eight people who will all be made redundant.
Commenting on the nationwide closures, the international chain’s chief executive Andrew Shapin said: “Over the past few years, we – and many other retailers– have witnessed a significant shift in consumers shopping online rather than in physical stores.
“This, combined with rising property and staff costs, has made it difficult for us to trade profitably."
Other announcements of closures in Bath, include clothes store East as well as various other shops, restaurants and bars.
