Kalia Calloway is a fashion designer and artist born and raised in the City of Los Angeles.
Like many artistic and independently fashionable girls Kalia knew from a young age that she was destined to be a fashion designer.
She first began her mission towards completing this goal at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette earning a B.A. in Apparel Design and Merchandising. After realizing there was more knowledge to be gained in the fashion industry she immediately enrolled in the MFA program at Academy of Art University in San Francisco, CA. Within a few months of graduation she landed her first job in product development which gave her the opportunity to work with Major and Mid Tier retailers across the US.
Talent combined with drive quickly fast tracked her career and eventually landed her the current position of Designer at Poetic Justice.
She was given the task of designing a line that was very near and dear to her heart. Creating a denim line for women who had curves. She too had battled with finding the perfect fit to match the curves she loved and now Poetic Justice would be a catalyst to change women's lives. She has currently designed three successful seasons and looking forward to many more.
