Tall fashion for women who love being tall. Our stores in Hamburg and Zurich offer trendy fashion specially designed to fit women over 1,80 m.

"I love my height and it makes me happy when our clients find beautiful perfectly fitting pieces in the I LOVE TALL stores." Annemarie Sickeler made her statement by founding her brand I LOVE TALL. It started in 2012 in Zurich and since 2016 I LOVE TALL expanded to Hamburg to a generous space with a lot of room to browse and try the tall fashion on.

In order to give the possibility for women of the same height to wear suitably fitting and affordable fashion, newcomer Annemarie Sickeler, having left her job in logistic management, created her fashion label in 2012 and dived into an adventure by opening her first store in Zurich. This surely wouldn’t have been possible without her flair for change and a strong mind set.

"I often think back about that store in Vancouver",  says Annemarie Sickeler. "My new life and flair for fashion started there. Before I had never been interested in fashion. Why would I? All clothes were always too short for me. Whilst there I received a warm greeting, feeling that someone with my height was welcome. This feeling I wanted to bring home and give to others."

Designs for extra long fit

To be well dressed starts with the right fit. Not only the sleeves and trouser lengths should be longer but also the waist line in dresses and jackets to be at the right place. This is particularly noticeable in business collection – the suit jacket fits perfectly and the skirt has the right length down up to the knee.

However, also in the casual wear, in a shirt or a top, if the waist sits at the right place makes a big difference for a perfect fit.

We work with different manufacturers. However, in order to meet our requirements  and our customers’ expectations in terms of style and price, we started producing  blouses, tops, dresses and jackets ourselves under the label I LOVE TALL.

I LOVE TALL collections are produced in Europe and neighboring European countries. By producing our own collection, we can assure a fair production process, because we work directly with the production companies and know their local workers. This aspect is very important to us.

It is a significant milestone for us to be able to produce our own collection and fill a niche in the market for tall customers.

Die Marke I LOVE TALL entstand im vorigen Jahr. Doch ihr erstes Ladengeschäft hat Annemarie Sickeler schon 2012 in Zürich eröffnet, begleitet von einem Online-Shop und eine heiße Adresse unter großen Frauen. Zuvor war sie in ganz anderen Kreisen unterwegs, arbeitete rund um den Erdball in der Logistik- und Ölindustrie. Bis es dann zurückging in ihr Heimatland. Und hier wollte sie sich nicht länger ärgern, auf der Suche nach der passenden Mode: „Unzählige Male raus aus der Hose, rein in die Hose. Und am Ende ist es doch wieder die Jeans aus der Herrenabteilung. Aber Kleidung für große Menschen darf nicht einfach nur groß sein. Sie braucht spezielle Schnitte, denn bei langen Menschen sind die Proportionen anders als bei Normalwüchsigen. Lange Größen erfordern Schnitte, die kaum ein Hersteller oder Designer entwirft. Also habe ich die Sache selbst organsiert.“

Zur ihrer Hamburger Eröffnung am 18. März erwartet Annemarie Sickeler viele große Frauen. Dabei werde die meisten wohl vom Stargast überragt: Norisha Campbell hat sich angekündigt. Denn wir verkaufen außergewöhnliche Produkte in einer Zeit, in der die Textilindustrie immer konformer produziert. Deshalb ist unsere Eigenproduktion der größte Meilenstein, den wir bis jetzt erreicht haben. Unsere Ware wird ausschließlich in Europa oder europäischen Nachbarstaaten produziert.

Ausnahmen machen wir nur bei speziellen Produkten wie zum Beispiel Winterjacken, die manchmal aus fernöstlicher Produktion kommen. Obviously I can't write about my own experiences (since I'm not a tall girl) but I'm always taking the views of my tall lady friends on-board. So let me know who your favourite clothing companies are.

About Long Elegant Legs

I don’t remember the day of the week or the weather, but I do remember having on pants that were way too short. On this day the idea of Long Elegant Legs was born.

Reaching my adult height of 5’10” in 8th grade, I was always in the back row for pictures, bottom of the pyramid in gym, and, worst of all, had no pants that were long enough. My grandmother taught me to sew, which was a blessing. Together, she and I made most of my wardrobe. As I got older and had less time to sew, I sought out tall specialty clothing stores. While the pants were long enough, and the sleeves on the tops reached my wrists, I found the styles to be downright dowdy. This needed to change!

Together with my husband Ron, I launched Long Elegant Legs in the fall of 1991. We have many customers who have shopped with us since then. Now in our third decade of clothing the tall woman, we pride ourselves on offering exclusive, high quality styles, with a fit meant just for a tall woman.
