We want to start by saying that not all tall people play basketball. But for us, that is where our story starts. Kayla and Kesia had just moved to Barrie, ON and Nicole invited Kayla to try out for a basketball team. Even though the basketball didn't stick for all of us, the friendship did!
Through relocations, school, and career changes, we continued to stay in touch, and to relate on the many issues that only tall girls face: people commenting on how tall you are, the lack of leg room, standing out in a crowd and the dreaded issue of finding clothes that fit! That issue in particular was the one that persisted. From the disappointment of going into a store and realizing they don't carry your size to the frustration of having to sacrifice style or fit just to get the right length.
So together we created the vision for #TallSize. Similar to Plus Size, we want Tall Size clothing to be normalized among retailers. Our goal is to make shopping accessible and fun for tall women so that they can feel beautiful and confident in their own skin.

But a couple of stores have our backs and carry a plethora of stylish shoes in extended sizes. Herewith the nine best online stores for women with large tootsies.
Dillard's: Not only does Dillard's offer affordable shoes, but they also go up to a size 13W.
Long Tall Sally: Long Tall Sally gets it. The entire site is dedicated to tall women, and their shoe section carries the trusted and affordable brands you love, including Sam Edelman (up to a size 13) and other name brands up to a size 15.
FullBeauty: Looking for wide calf boots up to a size 16? This is your store.
Net-A-Porter: OK, we'll admit it, the shoes on this site carry a hefty, hefty price tag. But if you're craving Gucci booties or Lanvin flats in a size 42, this is one of the few spots where you'll find them.
Nine West: Finding good heels up to a size 13 1/2 is no small feat, but Nine West makes it easy with fashion-forward options at cut-throat prices.

All their shoes go from a size 10 to a 12 as a minimum and they have a lot of 13s and some 14s and 15s.
It took me about four hours to decide to open The Shoe Garden. From another perspective, it also took 30+ years!
In early November 2011, after an exceptionally busy year and nearly 10 years in fundraising and many more as a journalist and PR manager, I woke up physically, emotionally and mentally exhausted after a major event. I was spent and I needed a change. It took about four hours to realise what I really wanted to do – leave my established career, take a risk and open my own Size 10 and Up women’s shoe shop.
So I resigned and gave 11 weeks’ notice, sold my house and rented it back just as I had planned, and began using my own capital to create The Shoe Garden.
I was so lucky. I found the perfect premises near where I live, opposite a lovely park in a charming cottage on popular Riding Road in Hawthorne.
I came across a few hurdles (like buying stock for winter when everyone only wanted to sell summer stock that I wouldn’t see until August at the earliest; problematic when I was opening in April!) but all these challenges were surmountable, especially with the kindness and patience of all the people I have come across in establishing my business.
My parents have been extraordinary. Their kindness and support are always constant and most appreciated, yet they went above and beyond to help me create my business, with anything from cleaning windows to building shelves, putting up wallpaper and giving sage advice that I have treasured.
My friends have also been amazing – without exception, so encouraging and positive.
And my customers … what can I say? I have been hugged and high fived and made to feel so special by so many women with longer feet who now have a range of gorgeous shoes available to them. They truly make my job not so much a job but a happy adventure filled with laughter and divine shoes!
As I say at The Shoe Garden, no nanna shoes or comfort shoes are allowed! When sourcing all my shoes I have and will always have two criteria: they have to be available up to at least a Size 12, if not longer, and they have to be gorgeous!

She was continually teased for her towering physique and large feet, and some even likened her to the gargantuan cartoon character the Jolly Green Giant.
But now 40-year-old Louise MacLellan, who stands 6 foot tall and wears size 10 shoes, is having the last laugh, running her own business to help other big footed women.
After being made redundant last year Louise decided to open a shop stocking shoe sizes eight to 11 and spent months scouring Europe for feminine designs, as for many years she was forced to wear clumpy and masculine footwear...

Sure, I’ve bought a ton of heels, but in recent years I’ve noticed how little I actually wear them. Here are some reasons why:
1.) I’m tall. I still remember one night when a date asked me why I was wearing heels since I “already have the height” — as if that’s the only reason I would be wearing them. That’s one way to kill your strut.
2.) I’m plus-size. I know I can’t speak for everyone, but a lot of plus-size women could probably attest to the fact that growing up, we sometimes didn’t want to draw attention to ourselves. And heels equals all the attention.

I would like to thank you for visiting our site. People always ask me, Tony, why are you called "The Real Shoe Shop"? Well, hopefully the following story will clear things up once and for all.Tony's began a long time ago. It was 1937 in Montreal, Canada.
Giantonio Fargnoli was a hard working, enthusiastic Italian from the "Old Country", who believed in service and quality. He set up a shop on Greene Avenue, as a shoe repair first, but soon began to work as a retailer. There was one small problem, there were too many Tony Shoes.
Giantonio...Tony, was one step ahead of the others, he believed that there was only one Tony, and he was the one. The shop became THE REAL TONY SHOE SHOP!
It was then, seventy years ago, that this Montreal landmark was born. Giantonio eventually passed the shop over to his son Eddie "The Fireball" Fargnoli, who in turn passed the shop over to his son Anthony.
The shop is still run by Tony today, in grandfather Giantonio's memory - with dedication to service and quality. In addition, you may find Robbie Fargnoli in the store and he has taken the family business one "step" further by becoming a Board-Certified Pedorthist. Board-Certified Pedorthists (C.Peds) provide services that contribute to the treatment of foot injury, deformity or disease.
Even though today we are officially called Chaussures Tony Shoes Inc., we still cling to the traditions that made us what we are today.

Vince Camuto, who shook up the women's shoe business as one of the founders of Nine West, died on Wednesday at age 78. The cause was cancer.
Through Nine Westand another company he founded called the Camuto Group, Mr. Camuto introduced a generation of women to stylish shoes at affordable prices. Along the way, he amassed significant wealth that included homes in Greenwich, Conn., and the Hamptons. Villa Maria, his 20,000 square-foot estate in Water Mill, N.Y., was built in 1887 and once housed a convent. It was put on the market in 2013 for $49.5 million and sold later that year for a reported $75 million.

Few relationships in a woman's life are as love-hate as the one she has with her high heels. We love them because they look great and make legs appear longer and leaner, helping petite women appear taller and tall women statuesque. The hate, however, comes when the pain begins.
High heels are the No. 1 culprit of foot pain for women, according to an American Podiatric Medical Association survey. Nearly half of all women wear heels, and 71 percent of heel-wearers say those shoes hurt their feet, the APMA reports.
"With many types of heels, like very high stilettos, foot pain is hard to avoid," says Dr. Matthew G. Garoufalis, a podiatrist and immediate past president of the APMA. "But it is possible for women to find a happy mid-point between great looks and great pain."
